What began in the winter of 1957–58 as a dream shared by a few passionate skiers has grown into one of WNY’s premier resort destinations. Founders Dick Congdon, John Fisher, and Bill Northrup opened Holiday Valley with just four slopes and a single T-bar — and quickly captured the hearts of adventure seekers from Buffalo, Rochester, and beyond.
Over the decades, Holiday Valley has flourished into a four-season resort offering 13 lifts, 60 trails, three base lodges, two hotels, a golf course, pools, an aerial park, and even a mountain coaster.
Today, that same spirit of joy and connection lives on through every wedding celebration we host. Couples are drawn here not only for the stunning mountain views, but for the sense of community, history, and hospitality that defines Holiday Valley.
